Clothing company Austin Reed has appointed four new management figures in the hope of improving its struggling sales.

Joanne Jong, formerly a designer for Giorgio Armani and Missoni, is joining the company as creative director for Country Casuals, whilst Chris Holmes, previously Austin Reed brand manager, has been promoted to the position of brand managing director.

Neil Parker moves to the company from Pilot Clothing, as retail operations director, and Melly Gildersleeve joins from Moss Brothers Group, as head of marketing.

The company issued a second profit warning in July, and said that its clothing failed to appeal to consumers.
