Australian wool growers plan to cement the good relationship they already enjoy with their Chinese customers with the opening of an Australian Wool Innovation office in Beijing.

The AWI is an organisation dedicated to research designed to improve the quality and performance of fashion textiles which employ Australian wool as their principal raw material.

China already rates as the Australian industry's number one export customer taking up to 40 per cent of all the wool which Australia annually makes available to overseas buyers.
