Stuart McCullough has been appointed as the acting CEO of Australian Wool Innovation as the organisation looks for a long-term replacement for Brenda McGahan.

AWI chairman Wal Merriman said McGahan would leave AWI next Wednesday (17 March), but would continue to help with transition arrangements.

McCullough, who has been with AWI for nine years, has worked in a range of different roles within the wool industry for all his working life.

Merriman added that the AWI board had begun “an extensive recruitment process” to find a permanent successor for McGahan.
