BASF India Ltd is to transfer its textile dyes business to DyStar in a deal worth around 70.16m rupees (US$1.6m).

In the deal outlined to the Bombay Stock Exchange BASF India announced that the transfer would include all dye operations by BASF AG and will be effective from October 1, 2000.

Fixed assets involved in the textile dye business will remain with BASF who will also receive the value of all the finished goods that are transferred to DyStar.
