Women's apparel retailer Bebe Stores Inc has announced the departure of its chief merchandise officer Dyan Jozwick after just four months.

In a short statement yesterday (18 November), the Brisbane, California-based firm which operates 308 stores, said Jozwick is no longer with the company.

Her responsibilities will be assumed by existing management "while the company assesses its merchandising structure," it said.

Jozwick, who most recently served as the chief merchandising officer for Wet Seal, was hired in June to lead the Bebe retail division.

Earlier this month, Bebe posted a 27% percent drop in first quarter earnings to $11.2m.
