BHV France, a division of leading French retailer Galeries Lafayette, has selected Retek's Data Warehouse solution to provide buyers and merchandisers with accurate and timely information on product and supplier performance.

Managing information within a business that has 14 stores in France and annual sales of over $680 million is critical. And by leveraging Retek's scalable retail data warehouse BHV hopes it will be able to provide better information to the appropriate functions in its business - especially its centralised buying team.

BHV will implement Retek's Data Warehouse solution to give senior management, buyers, planners and merchandisers access to the same source of product and sales information. The will ensure that all functions are making decisions from "one version of the truth."

Better, more timely information through Retek's solution will increase the retailer's ability to make key business decisions and positively impact sales, inventory levels, markdowns, gross margin and customer satisfaction.
