A Greek company has won the lucrative contract to produce and distribute water sports products emblazoned with the 2004 Olympic Games logo.

Blue Point-SN Argyros SA, a division of the Greek Hadjiiioannou group, is likely to see turnover rise by DR1.5 billion over the next three years, as a result of the Athens deal.

The firm has been producing swimwear products for 35 years and exports 70 per cent of its products. Sales are forecast to hit DR4bn in 2001, a substantial increase on last year's total of DR3.1bn, while pre-tax profits are forecast to almost double to DR700 million.
