Leading internet retailer of designer fashions at outlet store prices, Bluefly Inc, revealed on Friday that net sales for October increased by 68 per cent to $2.7 million from $1.6m for the year ago period.

Net sales for the first ten months of 2001 were approximately $17.7m, a 33 per cent increase over the $13.3m achieved in the first ten months of 2000.

"I am extremely pleased by our October sales number,'' said Ken Seiff, chief executive officer of Bluefly Inc. "Our business was strong in all three of our departments, including women's, men's and home products.

"Fresh inventory receipts, including deliveries of in-season merchandise, as well as direct mail and email marketing contributed to this success."
