The board of directors at Indian fabrics manufacturer Bombay Rayon Fashions has approved the acquisition of Bangalore-based garment maker LNJ Apparel for INR255m (US$6.44m).

Bombay Rayon released a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange today (18 October) following a board meeting, saying it had approved the necessary Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the deal.

LNJ makes and exports garments from its manufacturing facility at Village Bidadi, Bangalore, the company said.
