Improvements look set to be in store for the Korean textile industry after the Government pledged to come up with an action plan to take it forward.

Commerce, Industry and Energy Minister, Shin Kook-hwan said his department would develop a mid and long-term blueprint.

He said the Government would develop measures to offer help to make the industry more competitive.

And he has urged the country's cotton spinning and synthetic fibre industries to undertake improvement measures.
