Leading Sri Lankan apparel exporter Brandix has agreed a deal with global management consulting company Accenture for a range of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services covering human resources, finance and accounting and procurement.

The agreement is designed to help Brandix build world-class, streamlined back office processes at a reduced cost and to drive significant improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness. Accenture will deliver these services from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

"This agreement will help us to build a strong foundation for our future success," explained Brandix CEO Ashroff Omar.

"Accenture will bring its extensive global experience, proprietary assets, software and analytics capabilities, helping to create more efficient and cost effective business processes.

"This will enable us to focus on delivering a high quality product and service to our global customers."

He added: "We are excited about the prospects of building this capability which will enable Sri Lanka's apparel sector to leapfrog into a knowledge-based industry."

Anoop Sagoo, senior managing director, business process outsourcing, Asia Pacific at Accenture also noted the collaboration will have a "significant impact in building capability in services for the apparel industry that can be leveraged by Brandix and our clients globally."
