Textile and clothing maker Brandot International Limited has made a growth capital investment in women's sleepwear, intimate apparel and active wear designer Julianna Rae Inc.

Founded in 2004, Julianna Rae sells its products over the Internet, through its catalogue and to premier resorts and spas.

The company's original designs are the creation of Juli Lee, founder and chief merchandising officer, who identified a market niche for high quality apparel in luxury fabrics for women over 35 years.

Mr Martin Trust, president of Brandot International, said: "We are very excited about becoming a stakeholder in a growing brand such as Julianna Rae. Our philosophy is to invest in people who are passionate about their business.

"Brandot is uniquely positioned to assist Julianne Rae in sourcing innovative and high quality intimates. We look forward to working together with Juli Lee and Bill Keefe to build Julianna Rae into a world-class brand."

Commenting on the investment, Julianna Rae's president, Bill Keefe, said: "This investment will provide Julianna Rae with the capital to continue to ramp up product development and customer acquisition and the opportunity to work closely with Brandot's global network of apparel manufacturers."

Brandot currently owns equity in 15 companies that manufacture apparel and other clothing industry products in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Israel, Madagascar, Mexico and Sri Lanka.
