The British Wool Board has cancelled the sale scheduled for September 5, it announced in a press release.

The cancellation is due to the foot-and-mouth crisis.

"The season is running considerably later because of foot-and-mouth. Negotiations with Government on collection procedures to be adopted delayed the start, collection is understandably taking longer this year because of the restrictions imposed," a spokesperson said.
