Leading classic apparel retailer Brooks Brothers on Thursday announced plans to open a store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

The New York-based company has signed a long-term lease on a 22,000 sq ft store previously used by Tommy Hilfiger.

The new outlet will house the Brooks Brothers full collection of men's, women's and boys' clothing and open in September.

Claudio Del Vecchio, president and CEO of Brooks Brothers, said: "We are pleased to have this unique opportunity to become a part of one of the world's most premiere shopping locations.

"The classic, elegant design of the store is in fitting with the Brooks Brothers image, and the perfect setting to showcase our collections of fine, classic American clothing."
