Fashion label Bruno Magli SpA has announced two executive promotions within its North American team, and has also announced retail expansion plans.

James Mullaney has been named managing director and keeps the title of chief financial officer of Bruno Magli USA, and Randy Routh has been promoted to director of sales for the division from the role of national sales manager for the men's division.

Mullaney will now be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of all operational, sales and financial matters, and Routh will manage all sales activities for men's, women's and accessory categories.

President and creative director of Bruno Magli Group, Aaron Schwartz, said: "We have continued to experience terrific demand for Bruno Magli footwear and accessories in the North American market.

"In a direct response to continued growth in our business, we have taken the steps to invest in and promote key individuals on our team in North America".

The company has also announced that it will open a new flagship boutique on Milan's Via Monte Napoleone and another 12 new mono brand boutiques and shop-in-shop locations around the world in the six months.

The Milan boutique is based on key stores in Rome and Venice, the company said, while retail locations are also planned for Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Russia and the United Arab Emirates during the next six months.

Bruno Magli plans to have 63 locations by the end of the year and an additional 10 locations by the middle of 2006. 

The company currently has more than 56 global locations in the US, Italy, Japan, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Greece, Dubai, China, and Singapore.
