The latest collection from Canada Goose includes four new outerwear styles, all made with Recycled Feather-Light Ripstop, the recycled version of the brand’s proprietary fabric.

Made of 100% recycled nylon, the recycled version of Feather-Light Ripstop’s performance qualities remain, making these styles durable, water repellent and lightweight, the Canadian outdoor apparel specialist says.

The down throughout the Humanature Capsule is also 100%  responsibly sourced with the line consisting of the Ryha Overcoat, Keifer Puffer, Ryker Overcoat, and the Nairo
Puffer.

The capsule collection comes after Canada Goose committed to transitioning 90% of its materials to PFMs by 2025. PFMs, such as recycled and organic fibres, are sustainable alternatives to conventional materials.

Canada Goose says its latest Humanature Capsule is the largest collection of PFMs to date, proof that the brand is expeditiously incorporating more environmentally responsible materials into its outerwear, apparel and accessories.

It takes its name from the brand’s Humanature purpose platform, uniting its sustainability and values-based initiatives.

Those goals include achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2025; aiming for 90% of Canada Goose fabrics to receive Bluesign approval for responsible and sustainable practices by 2025; and transitioning 90% of its materials to Preferred Fibres and Materials (PFMs), which are sustainable alternatives to conventional materials, by 2025.

Towards the end of last year, Canada Goose achieved certification under the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), an international, voluntary programme that monitors the chain of custody for certified materials and ensures that RDS down standards are maintained throughout the entire supply chain.

In June, the brand said it will end the purchase of fur by the end of 2021 and cease manufacturing with fur no later than the end of 2022.
