Kids' wear chain The Children's Place Retail Stores Inc on Thursday announced a number of executive promotions coinciding with its third-quarter results.

Steven Balasiano, previously vice president and general counsel, has been named general counsel and senior vice president (chief administrative officer).

Richard Flaks, previously vice president, (planning and allocation) has been named senior vice president (planning, allocation and information technology).

Mark Rose, previously vice president (merchandise procurement) has been named senior vice president (chief supply chain Officer).

The company also said its third-quarter earnings increased 53 per cent, caused by good response to its back-to-school and holiday lines.

Revenue rose 26 per cent to $280.5 million from $223.3m a year ago. Same-store sales for the quarter jumped 18 per cent.
