Receivers have been called in to a mid-Wales children's clothing company, putting 32 people out of work.

The Kenneth A Fogg factory in Machynlleth also employs another 29 staff in at its Stockport headquarters who will carry on working until existing orders are completed.

The receivers, David Whitehouse and Simon Wilson of Kroll's Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Group based in Manchester, say there is no hope of the business being sold as a going concern.

The company's factory unit, plant and machinery will now be put up for sale.

Fogg and Sons designs and manufactures children's clothing for a number of high street chains. But "continuing price pressures from lower cost countries, particularly in the Far East, have meant that it has been unable to operate profitably," said David Whitehouse.
