Japanese textile maker Chori Co, producer of raw materials for knit products and uniforms, socks and tights, is to expand its operations in both China, SE Asia and the Middle east as part of strengthening its overseas operations.

Chori's efforts to tap into new markets, as Japanese domestic demands falls owing to a declining population, is central to its reposition said the company in a statement.

The textile maker will reappoint a representative in the Middle East sometime next year and plans to deploy a dedicated representative based in Thailand, Indonesia and a team to complement a new production base in Shanghai.
