Women's clothing retailer Christopher & Banks Corporation has announced the appointment of Michael Lyftogt as its interim chief financial officer.

Lyftogt replaces Andrew Moller, who has resigned as company CFO for personal reasons, a Christopher & Banks statement said today (4 December).

The retailer added it is commencing a search for a permanent chief financial officer.

Lyftogt has been with the company since March 1998, and will continue working as vice president of finance while serving as Interim CFO.

Lorna Nagler, president and chief executive officer, said: "Mike Lyftogt's experience in the company's finance and accounting functions make him the logical choice for Interim CFO. I am confident in Mike's ability to perform in this role as we search for a permanent CFO.

"Mr. Moller's resignation was prompted by personal reasons. On behalf of the company and the board of directors, I want to thank Andy for his contributions and commitment to the Company since he joined us in September 1992 and we wish Andy all the best."
