El Nasr Clothing & Textile Co (KABO) made a net loss of EGP2.41 million for the first nine months of 2004, compared to a net profit of EGP10.53m in the same period in 2003.

Net sales for the period increased 20.8 per cent on a year-on-year basis to EGP114.48, while the cost of goods sold grew 36.6 per cent to EGP10.4m.
Gross profit decreased to EGP10.07m from EGP18.31 last year.

KABO sells training suits, sweatshirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, pyjamas and underwear, and exports approximately 40 per cent of its products to Europe, the US and the Arab world.
