Apparel retailer New York & Company has appointed Eran Cohen to the post of executive vice president, chief marketing officer.

In the newly expanded role, Cohen will be responsible for all marketing and visual aspects of the business’s integrated brand strategy and marketing campaign, including e-commerce.

“Eran is a talented executive with deep expertise across all marketing disciplines, especially as it relates to speciality retail,” said Greg Scott, New York president.

“Under his leadership, we have a great opportunity to further leverage the New York & Company brand through a comprehensive and strategic marketing programme that will enhance the overall experience for our customers.”

Cohen was previously chief marketing officer with Collective Brands, working in the company’s Payless ShoeSource division.
