Women's apparel chain Coldwater Creek Inc on Wednesday revealed it swung to a loss in the second quarter amid flat sales but reaffirmed its original earnings guidance for full-year fiscal 2003.

The Idaho-based company reported a net loss of $700,000, or six cents a share, versus net income of $1.3 million, or 12 cents a share, in the year-ago period, with net sales flat at $92.8m.

Coldwater said its net sales for the retail segment soared 122.5 per cent to $24.2m from $12.3m in 2001 and added it sees earnings per share of 58-64 cents and sales of $457m to $472m.
