Sweden's Coloreel is introducing its textile thread colouring technology to the US for the first time later this month as the company eyes opportunities within the American market.

Together with apparel decorating equipment distributor Hirsch Solutions, Coloreel will exhibit at the Dallas-based Printing United event, which showcases the latest solutions for apparel, graphics/wide-format and functional printing applications.

"This is an important step into an important market where the Coloreel unit can be used to the fullest extent," says Magnus Hellström, VP of sales and marketing at Coloreel. "The American market is made for Coloreel since they have the largest personalisation market in the world."

Coloreel enables textile thread to be coloured while it is in textile production. The first product to be launched based the technology is a thread colouring unit that works with any existing industrial embroidery machine. By instantly colouring a white base thread during the embroidery production, Coloreel enables freedom to create unique embroideries without any limitations in the use of colours.

Printing United takes place from 23-25 October.
