Online colour collaboration solutions firm, eWarna, and provider of professional colour standards for the design industries, Pantone Inc, have formed a strategic partnership.

Under the deal, eWarna will license the data set for the nearly 2,000 colours of the Pantone for fashion and home colour palette for eWarna's colour collaboration software solutions, including XMatc, Xdyes and LabWorks Pro.

Incorporating Pantone's palette into eWarna's web-based tools will allow all parties in the global supply chain to communicate colour with precision, manage colour online, and match to the same digital colour standard while reducing lead time.

"By integrating Pantone Colours into eWarna’s cutting-edge colour collaboration tools, our customers will be able to use the same colour standard from inception through production," said Pantone president Richard Herbert.

"Pantone has long been the open standard for physical colour communication, so we are especially proud to be combining that standard with our open platform for Internet colour collaboration," added eWarna CEO Richard Lawn.

Financial details of the deal between the New Jersey and Kuala Lumpur-based firms were not disclosed.
