Pakistan's Minister of Commerce, Industries and Production, Abdul Razak Dawood, has called for a strategic trade partnership between his country and China, with particular emphasis on the textile sector.

Addressing a meeting of major Hong Kong-based importers of cotton yarn and textiles following a brief tour of China, Razak Dawood highlighted the need for a greater focus on the China market by Pakistani entrepreneurs.

The Minister added that the International Coalition's campaign against terrorism in Afghanistan had in no way impacted industrial productivity in Pakistan and that supplies from the country are proceeding normally without any disruptions.
