Revillon has sold its fur and ready-to-wear brand to French counterpart, Yves Salomon, for an undisclosed sum.

Revillon will now focus its business on developing its perfumes, cosmetics, make-up and spectacles lines.

A fur and sheep skin specialist since 1920, Yves Salomon will begin marketing the Revillion brand from the winter 2007/2008 collection, but has not taken on the contract linking Revillon with US designer Rick Owens.

Yves Salomon has an annual turnover of EUR21m (US$27.73m) and around 800 sales outlets.

It supplies a number of high-class fashion houses including Jean Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel and Karl Lagerfeld.
