Nike subsidiary Converse Inc has agreed to supply US retailer Target Corporation with an exclusive range of vintage-inspired clothing and footwear under the One Star brand name.

The collections for men and women will launch in February 2008 and include denim, non-denim bottoms, knits, wovens, graphic tees, sweaters, dresses, skirts and outerwear, as well as footwear.

Converse chief executive Jack Boys said the company was "very excited" about the deal, adding: "This collaboration will enable us to deliver an innovative, premium, head-to-toe lifestyle product collection while creating an exclusive One Star offering for Target guests."

Target president Gregg Steinhafel said he was "thrilled" by the agreement. "We look forward to creating a unique in-store experience that embodies the One Star lifestyle," he said.

Converse will continue to sell One Star merchandise internationally through other retailers, the company said.
