Hong Kong fabric maker Cotswold International has partnered with Shanghai based textile manufacturer Haama Asia Ltd to sell and distribute interior linings for apparel.

Named Cotswold Asia Ltd, the new venture will operate out of offices in China, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Turkey.

"As brands seek value, speed to market and advances in technology from vendors, Cotswold Asia will deliver the combined strength of two privately held third generation apparel component manufacturers with over 115 years of experience," says James McKinnon, CEO of Cotswold.

Cotswold is a supplier of fabrics for pocketing, waistbands, corduroy and interlinings to dozens of US-based brands including Levi Strauss & Co, VF Corp, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, JC Penney, Ralph Lauren and Nike.

Yaron Harel, CEO of Haama, adds: "Our customers across the world expect the best, and with this new partnership we believe our value both as an industry leader in innovation and our common reputations for value and service will be second to none on the global stage.

"Cotswold and Haana have aligned to become an integral part of the world's apparel supply chain."

Haama makes textile and insulation products and is a supplier to Marks & Spencer, Zara, Men's Wearhouse, and other suppliers across countries including Europe, Turkey, Jordan, the Far East and Africa.
