One of Brazil's biggest producers of cotton yarns and fabrics is now seeking European outlets for its woven denim fabrics.

The TBM group (Textil Bezerra de Menezes) already exports up to 30 per cent of its output but has previously looked to the USA or Latin and central American nations as its main markets.

TBM's export sales drive is backed by recent heavy investment in new plant and machinery. This should upgrade both the spinning and the knitting side of the business it says, including circular garments, hosiery and technical textiles.
