Buyers from stores servicing the extreme top end of the lingerie and swimwear market are this year being courted by the organisers of Lyon Mode City with a new "luxury goods" area specifically devoted to their needs.

Show-stopping beach and underwear created by John Galliano, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Roberto Cavalli are among the merchandise already lined up.

Meanwhile, in the main exhibition area collections from manufacturers representing 33 nations will be on view. Buyers will be able to choose from 470 lingerie and 340 swimwear brands and over three days of the event some l8,000 trade visitors are expected to make the trip to Lyon.
