Colorado-based plastic clog maker Crocs has announced that its Crocs Rx collection has been accepted by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).

The Rx line includes shoes and socks designed for people with specific medical and therapeutic, podiatric conditions, many of which are associated with diabetes, the company said.

It includes three styles, the Relief, Cloud and Silver Cloud, all with Crocs' proprietary Croslite material. The company said that its Rx range provides therapeutic relief for foot conditions including pressure relief from plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel pain, and arthritis.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer an affordable line of shoes specifically designed for people suffering from painful foot conditions," said Eddie Scott, director of Crocs Rx. "We look forward to expanding our Crocs Rx line to continue to provide innovative and comfortable footwear solutions to our customers."
