Freight forwarding and logistics company Davies Turner& Co is launching an extra fleet of hanging garment trailers to serve the growing trade between Morocco and the UK.

The first 20 Krone trailers, equipped with 100 garment bars, have already entered this growing traffic lane and a further ten are due for delivery later this month.

The trailers will be positioned at Davies Turner's five main surface freight hubs in the UK - Birmingham, Bristol, Cumbernauld, Dartford and Manchester.

Philip Stephenson, joint managing director, describes Morocco as "one of our major success stories in 2007."

The garment trade with Morocco has seen a recent revival as the quicker and more flexible response for deliveries sourced in North Africa more than compensates for cheaper production costs in the Far East.

Given the high value of the freight being moved between the two countries, security has been built into all sections of the supply chain in this trade.

The steel trailers offer protection from break-ins or stowaways, and are fitted with satellite tracking and a satellite monitored door security system.
