Performance workwear supplier Dickies has joined forces with Milliken & Co to create what it describes as a "new level" in performance workwear.

By integrating advanced Milliken fabric, which offers enhanced lightweight, moisture-wicking and soil-release properties, the two companies have created the "next generation" work shirt. The "groundbreaking" fabric technology also claims to offer an 80% increase in breathability.

The improved work shirt provides comfort and mobility while maintaining the durability of a classic Dickies work shirt, according to the companies, which have worked together for more than 17 years.

"Dickies' process of product innovation has us continually attuned to the market, where consumer insights are a driving force behind all product development," said Brian Sheedy, vice president of merchandising and design at Dickies brand owner Williamson-Dickie.

"Our ongoing collaboration with Milliken to drive continuous innovation allows us to employ the latest fabric technologies across multiple segments of our business to enhance features and benefits, furthering consumer satisfaction, both on and off the job."

The new Dickies work shirt, which is available in long and short sleeve, and in colours black, dark navy, charcoal and desert sand, is available on Dickies' website, Amazon.com, Sears and other workwear retailers across the US.
