Department store retailer Dillard's has been accused of racial profiling in shoplifter crackdown cases by a new lawsuit, Associated Press reported.

According to the eight plaintiffs involved in the case, Dillard's wrongfully accused black customers of stealing goods from stores in Arkansas, Tennessee and Florida in the US.

The lawsuit said that store workers or security guards accosted shoppers when they were inside stores and accused them of stealing goods.

Dillard's has previously been sued for mistreatment of black shoppers, but has denied all accusations.
