Dimension Films, the genre film division of Miramax Films, and American Eagle Outfitters (AE), one of the fastest growing lifestyle retailers nationwide, today announced that they have formed a strategic marketing alliance that promises to join fashion and film in new, innovative ways.

In a ground-breaking deal, AE will become the first official clothing outfitter for Dimension, providing merchandise for at least four upcoming Dimension productions, targeting the key demographic of 16 to 34 year olds, in exchange for significant brand exposure. "Boys and Girls," starring Freddie Prinze Jr, Claire Forlani, Jason Biggs, and Amanda Detmer was the first of these films.

AE will promote future Dimension releases and its roster of talent by supporting them on-line at http://www.ae.com, in AE's seasonal magazines, and at AE's 500 plus stores nationwide. AE will develop on-line and in-store sweepstakes and contests, interview Dimension talent for feature stories in AE magazines and on ae.com, include upcoming film trailers on AE's in-store video, host Dimension's premieres, and create events for AE new store openings.

"Our partnership with Dimension Films further confirms AE's position as the brand of choice for today's teens and young adults," said Michael James Leedy, executive vice president of creative services and e-commerce at AE. "We are thrilled to have been selected as the official clothing provider for a studio of such high quality that has struck a chord with teens and young adults all across the country."

"We are excited to have American Eagle Outfitters as Dimension's first official clothing outfitter," said Lori Sale, Miramax senior vice president of worldwide promotions. "AE brand is a cool, hip, brand and a perfect fit for cross-promotional opportunities with Dimension's different genre films."

This is AE's latest foray into Hollywood. The company is already the official clothing provider for one of the most highly watched youth television programs, "Dawson's Creek."
