Footwear Specialties International, an manufacturer of safety and workplace footwear, has appointed Ted Greenwood as its chief financial officer.

"The addition of Ted Greenwood to our senior management team will play an integral part in our expansion,'' said Wayne Elsey, president/CEO. "His experience with the foreign exchange markets and development of strategic and financial plans will greatly benefit our growth plans for both the US and European markets."

Greenwood comes to FSI from Doc Martens AirWair USA where he was VP of finance and a member of the senior management team responsible for all elements of risk and relationship management. Prior to Doc Martens, Greenwood was a senior accountant for the Portland based accounting firm Deloitte and Touche.

FSI targets industries where workers buy their own uniforms and shoes, but are generally reimbursed by their employers for all or part of the cost. FSI brands are also sold through uniform retail stores, shoe mobiles, the Internet and catalogues. Its key brands are Nautilus Footwear and Skidbuster and Third Watch.
