Moss Bros Group has announced that Don McCarthy has stepped down as a non-executive director of the company.

McCarthy is also the chairman of department store retailer House of Fraser, which Icelandic retail group Baugur part owns.

Last month fashion retail tycoon Sir Philip Green spent GBP6.7m (US$10.2m) on buying a 28% stake in Moss Bros from Iceland's Kaupthing Bank, which held them on behalf of Baugur.

The Moss Bros board expressed their gratitude to McCarthy for his help and support to the company.
