Troubled menswear company Moss Bros could be the subject of another takeover bid just weeks after seeing off Joe Bloggs founder Shami Ahmed, it was reported on Friday.

According to London's Evening Standard newspaper, the group is being eyed by dot-com millionaire Jonathan Rowland who has been buying shares in it over the past few weeks.

Mr Rowland sold his Jellyworks Internet business two years ago for £65 million. However the paper added that his stake in Moss Bros is being viewed as a "speculative investment" and not the basis for a bid.
