Dutch printer Chevalier has embarked upon an ambitious new business development campaign in the UK where it hopes its "outstanding customer service and technical edge" will appeal to UK fashion firms.

The Rotterdam-based firm already counts Aquascutum, Alfred Dunhill, Jaeger and Episode among its UK customers.

"UK clients always seem to be complaining about the level of customer service and support that they get from traditional British printers," says Hans Bots, Chevalier's head of overseas sales.

As well as Chevalier Optimum Screen II, a process that uses Japanese ink to reproduce images with exceptional print clarity, definition and depth of colour, the firm offers a translation service for multi-lingual productions and a complete logistics management capability for global distribution and delivery.
