Erbé of France, a specialist in machinery for use in textile manufacturing, will preview its latest linking machine at the IMB trade show, taking place in Cologne next week.

This new machine incorporates the latest technology to ensure defect-free production.

The triple-motorised, hi-tech linking machine can make a seam at a speed of 460 stitches per minute - the collars on cuffs are linked stitch by stitch.

This patented process is claimed to be a world-first, turning traditional linking, which used to be a lengthy, fastidious process requiring experienced operators, into a basic sewing operation.

Erbé's new machine features an intelligent camera, which is used to complement the skill of the operator.

As well as time savings, other benefits include ease of use: it covers several gauges in just a few clicks and can also be operated remotely.
