Penn Nyla, the UK’s largest warp knitting producer of stretch fabrics, is extending the concept of scented fabrics with its new commercial range encapsulated with oils with beneficial properties.

The range includes sea kelp, geranium and aloe vera, which are deposited from the fabric onto the skin during wear.

Penn Nyla development director Nigel Whatmough says: “At first this product was seen as a bit of a gimmick and one that would never last. However, if you look at where Penn Nyla is now beginning to take the concept, the benefits of encapsulating the right oils can be seen.

"The product received considerable interest at the recent trade shows, and we’re now beginning to test the waters commercially."
