Leading French lingerie and ready-to-wear clothing retailer, Etam Developpement, on Friday posted a 6.8 per cent rise in turnover for 2001 to 1.1 billion euros ($964m), compared to the previous year.

The group, which operates around 1,100 Etam and 1-2-3 lingerie, clothing and accessories stores, added that turnover for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2001, jumped 8.6 per cent to 336.5 million euros ($295m) from the year-ago period.
