Eton Systems has expanded its marketing and implementation activities in Latin America with the appointment of a new sales manager for the region.

The unit production systems provider has named Gary Freedman as sales manager for Latin America with responsibility for Eton's operations in Brazil, Columbia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, and Peru.

In Mexico and Central America, the drivers for automation include the shift from traditional 'cut-and-sew' activities to delivering 'full package' programs.

For other companies, like many in Brazil that produce for their domestic market, it is the demand to deliver high quality fashion products at an increasingly faster pace.

Gary Freedman says: "These companies understand that our technology is not just for the big companies. They embrace it as a means of improving their customer service capabilities and to make their companies the best they can be."
