The EU has kickstarted a review of a South Korean polyester products following demands from domestic businesses, the Korea International Trade Association reported.

The EU is considering whether to remove anti-dumping duties on low-melting polyesters, a type of polyester staple fibre (PSF).

South Korean producers of PSFs claim that the EU is running short of low-melting polyester supplies. Their PSFs are currently subject to tariffs of up to 10.6%.

According to the association, such reviews normally take about a year to be completed.
