• Q1 net income up 65.8% to US$2.6m
  • Net sales up 103.6% to $53.2m
  • Boosted by rising retail and wholesale revenues

China’s Ever-Glory International Group recorded a noteworthy surge in first quarter income, driven by retail and wholesale revenue surges in the company’s home market.

The increased sales in China for the apparel supply chain manager and retailer reflected a strategic move to refocus on the company’s domestic market because of the continuing fragility of many overseas economies.

“In 2011, we plan to contine to develop [retail concept] La Go Go through perfecting design styles, improving store management efficiency and opening more stores in desired locations,” said Edward Yihua Kang, Ever-Glory chairman and CEO.

“We are confident that, through these measures, we can enhance same-store sales, expand La Go Go’s market penetration and increase its brand influence in China.”
