Sporting goods giant Nike Inc has reshuffled its global management team – including the promotion of its global brand veteran Joaquin Hidalgo as vice president of emerging markets.

The Beaverton, Oregon based firm says Hidalgo, who has a 20-year track record at Nike, will report to president of Nike global operations, Gary DeStefano.

He was most recently vice president of global brand marketing, where he was instrumental in building and expanding Nike’s brand globally.

In other moves, the former vice president of emerging markets, Jayme Martin, becomes the company’s vice president of global running.

While Davide Grasso moves from vice president of Nike’s global football category to become its vice president of global brand marketing.

Both Martin and Grasso report to global brand and category management vice president, Trevor Edwards.
