The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) wants Government to offer a financial boost to the country's garment sector, reported local media.
According to Asia Pulse, BGMEA is calling for a US$436m share of the country's fiscal stimulus package for the sector.
BGMEA president Abdus Salam Murshedy reportedly told press that around 40% of garment factories will struggle to pay the wages and bonuses without it.
