Boasting Europe's largest garment industry and a place as the biggest East European manufacturer of clothing for the EU, Romania's apparel sector is a fast-growing market for fabrics and accessories.

On the domestic front, Romania also has the second largest fashion market in Eastern Europe after Poland, increasing by 18 per cent in 2004.

The country will be staging the next of its twice-yearly Romania Fabric Days trade shows next March, and is expecting to attract visitors from Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, as well as from Central and South European companies sourcing in Romania.

The fair organisers say exhibitors are already confirmed from Turkey, China, Taiwan and Italy.

Romania Fabric Days takes place on 23-24 March, 2006 at the Bucharest World Trade Center.
