The Bejing-based China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories is to mover to more spacious accommodation in 2003.

The shift, which will take the event to the Bejing Exhibition Centre, has been necessitated by growing numbers of exhibitors and visitors.

"An important factor in the growth of the show has been the recent reduction of import tariffs allied to new trademark laws which make it simpler for overseas manufacturers to protect their brands from imitation if they sell into the Chinese market," says the event's organisers Messe Frankfurt, The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Textile Information Centre.

The dates for the next fair are confirmed as 17-19 March 2003.
